Stephen Barr
I’ve been a Fitness Instructor since 2015, teaching a variety of classes, some to do with movement.
My natural curiosity with regards to movement led to an interest in pain science.
This is a subject that is little known about and highly evolving, so it’s something that I constantly review to keep up to date.
What we thought we knew about pain has changed over the years!
I want to help people relax, assist with pain relief through both massage and exercise, help with an injury, or simply to ‘get you moving’.
I use my own participation in sport over many years (football, golf, cycling, Kickboxing), together with using weights, as a good grounding to understand how we move and what may happen to our bodies and mind when we stop moving for whatever reason.
To make sure you receive the best care, I constantly keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
Finally, my own recent medical issues have given me further insight into pain, recovery and rehab, and I want to pass on what I’ve learned in that regard.
About Fit Thru Life

Fit Thru Life was set up in 2018 as a result of an ever increasing desire for the knowledge to help people. As someone in their early 60’s, I know that age is no barrier to moving well and feeling good about it.
Much of the time, it is their belief that ‘too old/too unfit/overweight/just can’t’ means that people stop doing the things they enjoy.
And I think that’s a shame because I believe that any and all movement is great for body and mind.
It is my aim to help others get back to what they love.
With that in mind, I offer movement strategies to help you move better, and 1-2-1 Pilates with Isabella is also offered.
Together, we know that the proven touch of massage, together with movement of any kind, can mean a stronger and healthier body, and the ability to keep doing the things we love for as long as possible.
The addition of Pilates reinforces our belief that Age is NO Barrier to moving and keeping well.
